GemEx will fly the winners to New York City for a luxurious weekend at the Loews Regency Hotel on Park Avenue.  During their stay, GemEx CEO Randall Wagner will award them with a 1-carat Leo Diamond engagement ring certified by GemEx for its exceptional brilliance, fire and sparkle. The Leo Diamond is available at Sterling Jewelers, the largest specialty retail jeweler in the country, with 1,307 stores including Kay Jewelers and Jared the Galleria of Jewelry.

?We?re thrilled that we were able to help Shaun and Alex live out their dream of becoming engaged,? said Wagner. ?Despite the lagging economy, this couple now has everything they need to start planning their future together - a beautiful ring, gifts for the wedding party, and great advice about rehearsal dinners, gift registries and planning and budgeting for the wedding.?

Throughout the weekend, the newly betrothed couple will have the chance to wine and dine at The Palm, meet with America?s foremost wedding planner, Sharon Naylor, and receive a private VIP Appointment with a Bloomingdale?s Personal Wedding Registry consultant.  It?s not all about the bride-to-be. The couple will also receive a $500 Gift Certificate from GroomsOnline.com.

?We have been together for six years, and were ready to get married, but money was tight,? said Shaun Fisher. ?When we heard about the contest, we knew we could come up with a great way to tell our story on video.?

Shaun and his girlfriend Alex came up with a 1920s silent film concept to tell the story of their relationship. They captured an old Hollywood feel by shooting it in black and white, with a low resolution grainy effect and silent movie type captions between scenes.  It even included a role for their dog Marty. Their video can be viewed at www.gemex.com/contest.

All the videos uploaded for the contest were viewed and voted on by thousands of people. The top 5 videos with the most votes were then viewed by a panel of judges.
